Chess is really a head-to-head game that just happens to take place on a fixed 8*8 board. There are very little UNKOWN RISKS. In Crown Conquest®, unknown risks are nearly everywhere -- which is so reflective of real war. CC® introduces Nobles that can retrieve captured pieces back into the games, placing captured pieces temporarily into "safe zones." This is impossible in chess. It also introduces "changing shapes of the battlefield, artillery, minefields & black holes, pawn tunneling, spies, and traitors." Each significantly impacts the games and requires progressively more strategic thinking.
This is the base game that has the following:
1. The multi-colored board (22" X 18")
2. 3" Black killer tube with CC logo and badge on it
3. Simple Rules (with illustrations) for the4 BASE games(separate from 6 more games of the two Expansion Pkgs) --Theme: "On the Frontlines of Insanity"
4. All the pieces you need for the 4 games.
5. Introducing the new "king" of the board (the NOBLE), plus pawn tunneling, minefields & black holes, safe zones, changing shapes of the battlefield, etc.
6. At least two variants and at least 6 modifications so that strong players and weak players still have loads of fun.
